Here's some initial quick sketches. I kinda like the idea of a head phone motif just cause this character could less about the world's corrupt society.

I also wanted to push the more hacker nature of the character.

@ l33t, Amethyst - Thanks! Appreciate the support.

I know the original GR 2099 had a hovercraft bike but I want to bring a tron/knight rider/akira style to the mix.

Still trying to get a feel for this character. I kinda want to give him a more cyberpunk/hacker-like quality. More wires and circuits will be flowing thru this version I think.

@Razvan-Sedekiah - Thanks! I was thinking about doing a night shot. Still not sure whether to have him riding on it or standing in front yet.

@WarNoodle, @PaperDoll, @Ksan, @Paulo Peres - Thanks for your support, guys! I have some new ideas that I'll explore soon. I will be doing some more work consistently after this weekend.

Here's a reference sheet of what the original version looked like as well as some influences and inspiration for my version. Missing from this sheet is some Ghost in the Shell refs and TRON refs.

@ WhiteGuardian - Thanks! Yep. this time it's 2D cause it's honestly what I do better at...at the moment ;-)

Here's another version of GR 2099. Trying to integrate some TRON and Ghost in the Shell elements as well as re-introduce some key GR 2099 accessories.

I really like the drawing of his profile in your first post. I personally don't like the spindly legs, but the technique and style is top notch!

@Mr.Jenkins, @Jono-GHOSTWORKS, @Cristian G, @ grimdc13 - Thanks, guy! I'll do my best.

I was going to switch brushes but I like this style so I might play with it a little more. Here's a sketch of the back.
